Another season of first half hopes washed away by the dreaded midseason lackluster play. Early in the season, this homestead that starts tonight against the Marlins, then the Braves, showed promise as one that could help shape the NL East going into the final stretch of the 2012 season.
Well, not exactly. The Mets did a great job at squashing the relevancy here. The mighty Marlins did their part by abandoning ship and having a huge sell off. The Braves are in the running, so maybe we can start a little spoiler party at Citi Field.
