It’s funny how desperate times call for desperate fan and media measures involving this team.
Here’s what all the fuss was about. After the game, when reporters asked about Sheffield’s injury, Manuel joked, “They’re calling it cramps…so, surgery on Thursday”.
There went the haters. The how-could-Jerry-say-that wagon was hot and heavy.
Guess what? Jerry has a sense of humor, and kudos to him for it. It’s great that at least he has a sense of humor and can laugh about. Frankly, it was pretty funny. You have to be a moron to remotely think he was being serious, or spitefully taking a shot at the Mets medical staff, or any other reason Jerry said this.
It’s called a fucking sense of humor. Enough with the tight asses, how about a fucking laugh? That’s the least we can do with the unfortunate way things have played out this year. It’s not Jerry’s fault, it’s not Omar’s fault, it’s not the front offices fault. Injuries happen, they’ve been a part of sports since the beginning of sports. More times than not, it seems these people who pretend to know about sports were born yesterday.
So we deal with it, and move on. No one likes it, but it is what it is. Like true Mets fans we take it like men and continue to wish the Phillies team charter hits a road side bomb of some sort.

exactly, we laugh if off, regroup, get healthy, add some missing pieces, and we kick ass next year. that’s if mets don’t pull off the comeback of the century this year..
I met a pretty cool Philly fan at a record store in the village earlier. He’s probably the only one. I’ve been laughing it up since it the injuries started. what else can I do? Laugh now, we’ll win later.
