Worst Met Moment?

There are certainly other (better?) choices in terms of importance or historical context — the Mike Scioscia HR off Dwight that sent us spiraling into oblivion for over a decade, as one example — but for ultimate puking-at-the-thought-of-him I’m going with “Kenny F’ing Rogers.”

  1. Yeah I gotta go with the Gambler. I even love the ump calling the first ball four a strike even though it was one foot out of the zone. Even he couldn’t let that game end that way. I wonder if Kenny actually thought he stretched the zone with that pitch. I even remember the Ricky stories about Dotel crying in the pen because Bobby V didn’t go to him. Oh my, tears are welling in my eyes right now as I remember this. I even went to the game at Shea where Tommy G blanked us 1-0. Tommy F’ing Glavine. Game 162, 2007 season might rank up there as well.
