If This Isn’t True We Will Kill People

Word is it’s done, pending Santana agreeing to a contract extension with the Mets.

The New York Mets have agreed to a trade for two-time Cy Young Award winner Johan Santana, giving up four prospects to acquire the left-handed ace of the Minnesota Twins, according to two high-ranking Twins officials with knowledge of the talks and a person close to Santana.

Carlos Gomez, Phillip Humber, Kevin Mulvey and Deolis Guerra are the ones going to Minnesota.

  1. In Omar we trust. I don’t know on the fleecing etc. ALl media hype there, and I’ve seen it spun both ways. Gomez is god. Gomez sucks. Who knows. They’re all prospects. And it’s a decent array. I kind of want to smack Peter Gammons cause he stays sh*tting on our propsects when talking about this. Whatever, he can fellate Ellsbury on his own time. Let’s have some perspective, Peter. But what Omar definitely did was hold on to the chips he needed, and stay the course. And the way the heat has been turned on in this offseason, that is def. impressive. Consider where we were a few years ago and I don’t think he gets enough credit for righting and steering this ship. collapse not withstanding.

  2. It seems to be a done deal and Omar is a god. He used a metrocard to pay for an escalade. My man!
