Wagner Cares Who’s Catching

Just watching YES, Mike & The MadDog, Mike and Ed Coleman were talking about the split between Wagner throwing to LoDuca and Wagner throwing to Ramon Castro. Turns out there’s a HUGE split. When Wagner is throwing to LoDuca he’s the Wagner you expect, dominant numbers, only one of his blown saves has come with LoDuca (the game against the Nationals where Zimmerman hit the HR), and just about all Wagner’s bad outings have come with Castro behind the plate.

My guess is it’s just a coincidence. But LoDuca has caught twenty of his innings and Castro’s caught about ten. So it’s something to keep an eye on.
